Thanks for very well done write ups! if you wanna do some on oil leaks that would be awesome haha.

I just referred a friend to your axel seal write up because he was a little worried and your detailed write up tool the fear right out of him.

thanks again!

Admin reply: .
Hi Justin

Thanks for posting. I appreciate the feedback. I guess I am lucky - I haven't had to address any oil leaks yet - so no writeups on that!

Wonderful info here; written by a non-mechanic for the non-mechanics (you obviously have a lot of mechanical talent though). I found this site while doing ball-joints on my truck. Your write up for the ball-joints is so superior to the U-tube videos out there, I just wanted to say Thank-You. I am going to do the P/S fluid change next. The internet at its best!

Hi Berg,

Thanks for the kind words. Glad my info has been useful. Yes, the Internet is great. Allows us to do things that might otherwise be beyond our reach.

Great info. Especially the updated info. I have a 99 F-250 psd. auto, crew cab 4x4. I've upgraded the air intake and added 4" exhaust but otherwise stock. It tows a travel trailer and horse trailer about 5K miles/year. I do a yearly service and always have the trans done by a shop. I think I'll try your method. Thanks for your time and info.

Admin reply: -
Zach,

Thanks for posting. I've often thought of upgrading my exhaust. I basically like to be stock but an improved exhaust would be nice. These are great trucks. I just took a 400 mile trip with 900 pounds in the bed and got 16 MPG.

Great site - I have a 2001 V10 - what site did you retrieve the Part Numbers for your Powerstroke? Would like to find the same list for my V10...thanks a lot! Joe

Admin reply: Hi Joe,
I got the part numbers from all over the place. From parts I've purchased, from various websites, and from factory manuals. I just kind of collect them. Unfortunately, only for the model years related to my truck. Thanks for stopping by.

Great website very helpful, on the coolant service procedure, when you install the "T" and begin to flush with the hose do you want the water to flow down toward the block or up towards the top? Thanks

thanks for the awesome tutorial on the ball joint procedure. getting ready to do mine this weekend. i was curious as to the yellow o ring on the parts list, i will be replacing my hub at the same time and the new one i bought already has a yellow o ring in it. is this the same one that is in your parts list or do i need to buy that one also. Thanks again for taking the time to write this up. it will save much quite a bit of time.
Thanks, chris schertz

Admin reply: Hi Chris,
No, you won't need the yellow o-ring if your new hub has it.
